Health board apologises for cyber attack ‘anxiety’

NHS Dumfries and Galloway has apologised for any anxiety caused after a major cyber attack a month ago reportedly saw “a very large amount” of patient and staff data accessed. The health board said it had received some queries about suspicious emails and approaches not linked to the attack. Police and the National Cyber Security Centre are investigating the event, which had minimal impact on public services but still reportedly limits staff’s system use.
