Health board apologises for cyber attack ‘anxiety’

A cyber attack on NHS Dumfries and Galloway health board that resulted in a large amount of patient and staff data being accessed has prompted an apology from the institution. Although no data was deleted or altered, the event has necessitated changes to staff working practices. The health board has asserted the incident was dealt with emphatically to avoid any similar future occurrences.
