Health board hit by cyber attack with ‘significant quantity’ of data at risk

Scottish healthcare provider NHS Dumfries and Galloway has been targeted by an ongoing cyber attack, potentially compromising patient and staff data. Authorities, including the National Cyber Security Centre, the Scottish government and Police Scotland, have responded swiftly in line with existing protocols and are warning the public and staff to “be on their guard”.
