Health board ‘running as normal’ after cyber attack

NHS Dumfries and Galloway is working with law enforcement agencies following a cyberattack on its IT systems. The health board warned that sensitive patient and staff data may have been accessed by the hackers and that confidential patient data was stolen in the incident. NHS Dumfries CEO, Jeff Ace, has reassured that services are “generally running as normal”. Law enforcement’s investigation into the incident is ongoing.
