Health board ‘running as normal’ after patient data was stolen

Scottish health secretary Neil Gray has warned that patient data may have been stolen during a cyber attack on NHS Dumfries and Galloway. The health board is working with Police Scotland, the National Cyber Security Centre, and the Scottish government to assess the breach and take measures to prevent its recurrence. Mr Gray said that, while the attack had minimal impact on patient services, there was still the risk services could be disrupted. Such incidents should be reported to authorities.
