Health care ransomware attacks spiked 86% in September: report

Healthcare is increasingly at risk of cyber attacks, with incidents rising 86% in September, according to cybersecurity firm NCC Group. The total for 2023 so far is 85 million patients affected, over twice the number in the same period of 2022. The sector was fourth most targeted globally in September.
