Healthcare firms have a 51.4% likelihood of falling victim to phishing attacks: KnowBe4, ET CIO SEA

Cybersecurity firm KnowBe4 has revealed the healthcare sector’s vulnerability to cyberattacks in its International Healthcare Report, with Australia’s healthcare sector suffering 22% of all data breaches from July to December 2023. The industry’s reliance on technology has made it a prime target for criminals, especially via phishing as the sector has a 51.4% chance of falling for such emails. The average cost of a breach in healthcare is almost $11m.
