Healthcare Industry Gets a ‘B+’ on Cybersecurity for 2024

A report from SecurityScorecard gives the healthcare sector a “B+” security rating, but highlights critical supply chain cyber risks. The study, which examined historical breach data and security ratings, found while healthcare companies were 2.9 times more likely to see a data breach than those with an “A” grade, such breaches remain low despite rising threats. The analysis also noted that application security issues were among the sector’s most significant flaws, and that 35% of third-party breaches affected healthcare businesses in 2023.
