HealthEquity, a business service provider, disclosed a data breach to the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 2, 2024, after the discovery of unauthorized access to consumers’ sensitive healthcare information. The breach, caused by suspicious activity on a business partner’s device, led HealthEquity to isolate the said device and initiate an investigation.
