HelloKitty ransomware source code leaked on hacking forum

The complete source code for the first version of the HelloKitty ransomware has been leaked on a Russian-speaking hacker forum by a cyber threat actor known as ‘kapuchin0’ or ‘Gookee’, who claims to be developing a more powerful encryptor. Cybersecurity professionals are concerned that the public availability of this code may lead to increased cyber attacks.
