HHS Reorganizes ONC to Highlight AI, Cybersecurity Governance

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced a restructure to emphasise the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) policy, data policy and cyber security. As a result, Micky Tripathi will transition from his role as head of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT to become Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy/National Coordinator for Health IT and Acting Chief AI Officer.
