HIMSS24 Native American Health IT Symposium: ‘Many nations, one record’
The Indian Health Service, in collaboration with the National Indian Health Board and HIMSS, has initiated a new electronic health record project designed to connect tribal communities across 37 states. The project, a first of its kind, is aimed at solving challenges regarding data sovereignty and health care provision amongst tribal citizens. Modernization is now underway with an EHR being integrated by General Dynamics Technology, to be operational by 2025.
