HIMSSCast: CDC’s new outbreak and disease modeling network, and its promise for public health

The US CDC launched a network, the Outbreak Analytics and Disease Modeling Network, in September 2022, providing over $262 million to support local decision-making in public health emergencies. The network, dubbed Insight Net, aims to equip public health decision-makers with better understanding of outbreak trajectories. The initiative includes various public and private organizations, with roles as innovators, integrators, and implementers.
