HIMSSCast: CDC’s new outbreak and disease modeling network, and its promise for public health

In September 2022, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) granted over $262 million in funding for the Outbreak Analytics and Disease Modeling Network, now named Insight Net. The network aims to build new tools to help state and local decision-makers detect and manage public health emergencies more effectively. Over a dozen organizations, including top universities and health organizations, are involved in the initiative.
