HITRUST launches collaborative cyber security platform for healthcare

The Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST) has launched the HITRUST Cyber Threat Analysis Service (C-TAS), a cyber defense platform designed specifically for the healthcare industry. The platform includes health systems, payers, pharmacy benefit managers, pharmacies and pharmaceutical manufacturers, as well as the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Veterans Affairs. The service will protect devices from cybersecurity threats and aim to “shore up vulnerabilities for electronic health record systems (EHRs) and medical devices.”
