HIV tests dropped and a return to paper working: Inside the London hospitals being held to ransom by Russian hackers

A recent cyber-attack on NHS hospitals by Russian hackers is expected to take months to resolve, according to insiders. The attack has disrupted IT systems for reporting patient tests from hospitals such as King’s College, Guy’s, and St Thomas’. As a result, HIV tests and cervical cancer screenings have been dropped, as medical staff revert to recording patient test results on paper and manually calling in emergency results.
