Hospital cyber-attack hampers GP blood services
A cyber attack on Synnovis, an agency which manages labs for NHS trusts and GPs in south-east London, has led to the cancellation of hundreds of appointments and operations, with blood testing only processing urgent and critical cases. The hack has forced GPs to work with uncertainty without access to regular blood tests. Despite ongoing strikes over pay disputes, the British Medical Association has confirmed junior doctors will return to work if patient safety is threatened.
