Hospital hit by cyber attack asks staff to donate blood
The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) has called for type O blood donors and urged staff at King’s College Hospital in London to donate after a cyberattack on provider Synnovis led to a reduction in tests and cancellations of procedures. The attack has seen routine blood tests halted and some patient care transferred to neighbouring hospitals. The former head of the National Cyber Security Centre, Ciaran Martin, warned recovery from the attack could take months.
