Household Names: How Tetrad Exposed Data on 120 Million Consumers

The UpGuard Research team has found that data sets revealing US consumers’ purchasing habits have been secured. The publicly visible data came from market analytics firm Tetrad, alongside data from sources including Experian Mosaic, Claritas/Nielsen’s PRIZM and seemingly from Tetrad clients. The data, in three very large files, detailed the names, genders, addresses and ‘types’ of over 120 million people. The content of an Amazon S3 bucket identified as the source of the exposed data was downloaded by UpGuard and has now been secured.
