How does the GoldDigger Android malware steal your money?

Group-IB has discovered a new Android malware named “GoldDigger” that targets over 50 Vietnamese banking, e-wallet, and cryptocurrency apps for unauthorized fund transfers. The Trojan uses the Android Accessibility service to extract personal and financial data, and its impact in financial terms remains unknown. The malware, first discovered in June 2023, has also been found to have Spanish and Chinese versions, suggesting potential wider targets. Group-IB has deployed protective measures and alerted authorities in Vietnam.
