Visibly, a US firm that allows patients to renew eyeglass prescriptions online, is locked in an ongoing legal battle after a law passed in South Carolina in 2016 forbade online prescriptions. The law was drafted and supported by the South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association. Visibly is appealing a 2024 judgement that ruled the law constitutional.
