How the Treaty of Union of 1707 has been breached

The Treaty of Union between Scotland and England, passed into domestic law by the Articles of Union to create the Kingdom of Great Britain, ceased to exist once enacted. Since then, all UK sovereignty is vested in the Westminster Parliament. Despite a 317-year-old agreement to protect Scottish traditions, culture and governance, repeated breaches of the union treaty have occurred by Westminster’s hand.
