How to develop competency in cyber threat intelligence capabilities

Cybersecurity firm Mandiant has released a framework detailing competencies for creating a cybersecurity threat intelligence (CTI) team within a corporate environment. The framework focuses on four competence areas: problem solving, professional effectiveness, technical literacy, and cyber threat proficiency. These categories cover skills including critical thinking, communication, business acumen, and knowledge of cyber defense practices, systems and networks, along with understanding of threat actors and their tactics, and threat concepts and frameworks.
