Huge volume of NHS patient and staff data released by hacker

NHS Dumfries and Galloway has suffered a significant cybersecurity breach after over 3TB of confidential data, including sensitive health and personal information, was leaked on the dark web. The data, which includes SQL database backups, department-specific documents and files related to children’s mental health services, was released following an earlier smaller breach. The exposure has far-reaching implications, potentially compromising the privacy of patients and staff and jeopardising operational integrity.
