Hundreds of operations and appointments cancelled in week after NHS cyber attack
A cyber attack on pathology services provider Synnovis, reportedly by Russian group Qilin, caused significant disruption to two London NHS trusts, forcing hundreds of operations and outpatient appointments to be rescheduled. The activity led to a severe reduction in Synnovis’s ability to process and report blood tests. Despite efforts to mitigate the impact and recover the IT system, officials anticipate ongoing disruption.
