Hundreds of operations and appointments cancelled in week after NHS cyber attack
A cyber attack by the Russian group Qilin on pathology services provider Synnovis caused major disruption to two NHS trusts in London, forcing hundreds of operations and outpatient appointments to be rescheduled. The ransomware attack on 3rd June severely impaired Synnovis’s ability to process and report blood tests, with officials warning of the disruption extending “for some time”.
