A study from Kroll has revealed a significant gap between large firms’ perceived cyber security competency and their actual resilience. This, along with the recent Moveit hack that impacted over 60 million people, underlines the need for better cyber security practices, especially in financial institutions. To address this, the establishment of a whitelist of thoroughly audited tech suppliers is suggested. Additionally, it is recommended companies not only fortify their own systems but also audit their technology suppliers’.
