IBM to acquire Fiberlink Communications

IBM is set to acquire Fiberlink Communications, a mobile management and security company, in order to strengthen its BYOD capabilities. Fiberlink’s cloud-based MaaS360 technology will be used by IBM to expand their BYOD offerings, providing a complete mobile management and security solution. MaaS360 will become part of IBM’s software-as-a-service portfolio and will be offered on the IBM SoftLayer cloud infrastructure.
