In Colorado, telehealth for maternal medicine improves quality, patient experience

Due to the scarcity of medical specialists in certain areas of the United States, Children’s Hospital Colorado, alongside Colorado University School of Medicine’s Maternal Fetal Medicine Division, have implemented telehealth to offer full prenatal care, as well as fearsome and fetal disease consultation. The telemedicine approach has reduced travel time for patients and saved telehealth patients over 200,000 miles of driving and over $30,000 on gas expenses in one year.
