India has experienced a major surge in ransomware and malware threats in the first half of 2023, primarily targeting Banking, Manufacturing, and Government sectors. India ranks among the top five globally for malware detections, accounting for 5.5% of all threats. Industry experts stressed the urgent need for organizations to enhance their digital defenses and implement proactive cybersecurity measures.
