India ranks fourth globally in detecting online banking malware, contributing 8.2% of the world’s total threats. Notably, 18,862 malware attacks were directed at the government sector. As ransomware families like StopCrypt, Lockbit and Blackcat, along with newcomer Mimic, intensify their activities, India’s financial services sector faces growing safety concerns, particularly around financial data.
