India’s security landscape under siege as ransomware, malware threats spike: Report | MorungExpress

A cybersecurity report has revealed that India detected 124,209 ransomware threats in H1 2021, making it the country with the highest incidence of such threats in south Asia. According to Trend Micro, India faced 5,609 online malware threats in the same period, ranking fourth globally in online banking malware detection. Of these, the government sector faced 18,862 malware attacks, while the banking sector faced 15,514 malware attacks.
