Indonesia suffered a series of cyberattacks in June that targeted various government offices and exposed vulnerabilities in the country’s data security systems, prompting criticism of its cybersecurity preparedness. This could damage its appeal to foreign investors unless the government shows it is bolstering its cyber defences. The government plans to study cybersecurity practices in other countries, such as Canada, to combat future cyber threats.
