Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn has implemented a zero trust network architecture to protect patient data and applications from cyberattacks. By deploying solutions from VMware, including NSX Data Center and AppDefense, the hospital has successfully avoided malware outbreaks, reduced data center costs by $2m over seven years, and met meaningful use objectives. Christopher Frenz, Assistant VP of Information Security, emphasizes the importance of testing security and choosing solutions that improve a hospital’s security posture rather than just meeting compliance requirements.
