Intermountain Healthcare patient data breached in ‘security incident’

Intermountain Healthcare disclosed a data security breach that affected four clinics in southern Nevada. The breach occurred through their business associate, cancer software vendor Elekta. Some protected health information was accessible to unauthorized individuals between April 6 and April 20. The information potentially compromised includes patient names, medical images, demographic information, and identification cards. Intermountain Healthcare and Elekta are working to enhance security measures to prevent future breaches.
