Internet Explorer is still a viable zero-day attack vector

North Korean cyber group APT37 exploited an as-yet-unknown zero-day vulnerability in Internet Explorer to target individuals in South Korea, according to Google’s Threat Analysis Group. The group used a malicious document related to a recent Seoul tragedy, with malware hidden in a Microsoft Office document. Microsoft has since released a patch.
