Interoperability tops ONC’s future plans, draft outline shows

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has released an update on its FY18 annual report, outlining its goals of achieving interoperability, privacy and security, and patient access to health records. The report, expected to be delivered to HHS and Congress this spring, will address progress made in 2018 and provide recommendations for addressing gaps in health IT infrastructure. Stakeholders are calling for increased public-private cooperation to achieve interoperability.
