Investigation into cyber attack ‘could take weeks’, says NHS England

Patients affected by a ransomware attack on NHS provider Synnovis by Qilin, a Russian group, have been offered support through a helpline and website. The attack has forced the cancellation of hundreds of operations and appointments in south-east London. An investigation into the incident is in progress, but could take weeks. In the meantime, affected blood samples are being made safe and operations are being rescheduled.
