Investigation into cyber attack ‘could take weeks’, says NHS England

A website and helpline have been launched for patients impacted by a ransomware attack on NHS provider Synnovis in early June, by Russian hacker group Qilin. Hundreds of operations and appointments have been cancelled or postponed amid ongoing investigations, and information stolen from Synnovis, including sensitive patient data and internal financial details, has been published online. Synnovis is currently focusing on system recovery, which will take some time.
