Investigation into cyber attack ‘could take weeks’, says NHS England

Patients affected by a ransomware attack on NHS provider Synnovis by Russian cybercriminal group Qilin have been offered online help and a helpline. Hundreds of operations and appointments have been cancelled two weeks after the incident. The National Crime Agency and National Cyber Security Centre are working to verify published patient data stolen during the attack.
