Investigation into cyber attack ‘could take weeks’, says NHS England

A ransomware attack on 3 June by Russian group Qilin on NHS provider Synnovis continues to disrupt operations with hundreds of appointments still being cancelled two weeks later. The NHS said investigations into the attack, which specifically targeted Synnovis’ pathology services, primarily in south-east London, could take several more weeks. Qilin reportedly released 400GB of data, including patient names and other personal details.
