Investigation into cyber attack ‘could take weeks’, says NHS England

A ransomware attack on NHS provider Synnovis in early June has continued to disrupt services two weeks after. An information website and helpline have been set up for affected patients. The hacker group responsible, Qilin, have allegedly published stolen data, which includes patient details and financial arrangements. Although urgent and emergency care is available, hundreds of operations and appointments have been cancelled as a result of the disruption.
