Investigation of Russian hack on London hospitals may take weeks amid worries over online data dump

The Russian group Qilin launched a ransomware attack on London’s NHS provider Synnovis, affecting several south London hospitals and medical services across the city. The National Health Service said an investigation into the attack might take weeks. Nearly 400GB of patient data including blood test descriptions and personal details were published online by Qilin post-attack. This incident led to considerable disruption, with hundreds of procedures and appointments cancelled.
