IRSA calls for greater adoption of interventional radiology

The Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia (IRSA) aims to increase use of the minimally invasive technique of embolisation for various conditions in Australia and New Zealand. At the 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting, the society emphasised the need to educate healthcare professionals and patients on the benefits of embolisation. There was also a call to integrate interventional radiology into multi-specialty care for improved patient outcomes.
