Estonia is leading in implementing personalized health at scale through its National Biobank. With samples from 20% of the adult population, the biobank helps predict patients’ responses to medications, potentially reducing ineffective prescriptions. The project, funded by the European Commission in collaboration with sequencing firm PacBio, could serve as a model for other countries to personalize their healthcare systems.
