IT security standards in the making

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is creating voluntary standards for IT security in critical infrastructure. The framework aims to help organizations prevent and recover from cyber attacks. President Obama signed an executive order in February directing the development of this framework. The draft standards are still being reviewed and the framework is being developed through a private-public partnership.
