Joint Commission intros new Telehealth Accreditation Program

The Joint Commission has launched a Telehealth Accreditation Program. The initiative, beginning on 1 July, delivers updated standards for telehealth services and is tailored to healthcare organizations delivering remote care and services. The program replicates existing accreditation requirements from the commission, alongside new standards for provider and patient education about telehealth platforms and devices. Organizations can apply for the accreditation if delivering telehealth treatment for another entity’s patients.
