JPL Creates World’s Largest PDF Archive to Aid Malware Research

Scientists at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory have compiled a collection of over 8 million PDF files, the largest publicly available corpus of its kind, which will aid software experts in identifying malicious software hidden in PDF code. The PDFs, gathered from the internet, will allow researchers to anticipate emerging online threats, improve PDF technology, protect user privacy and find bugs in software code.
