Junior Doctor On Strike Claims Tories Have Made NHS Among The Worst Health Systems In Europe

NHS junior doctors have launched their fifth round of strikes as pay negotiations stall. They claim the government has allowed the health service to become among the worst in Europe. The strikes, in response to persistently insufficient NHS funding and poor patient care commitment, have cost around £1 billion since December. The Department of Health and Social Care said the 6% pay rise plus additional funds offered to junior doctors is “fair and reasonable”.
