Kaspersky Exposes NKAbuse: Multiplatform Malware Leveraging Blockchain Technology – CRN

Kaspersky’s experts have identified a new malware, NKAbuse, that notably exploits NKN technology, a blockchain-oriented networking protocol. The dual threat malware enables attackers to gain unauthorised access to victims’ systems and launch DDoS attacks. The malware was found in systems in Colombia, Mexico, and Vietnam. To protect against such threats, Kaspersky recommends regular software and application updates, threat intelligence, and cybersecurity training.
